If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice starter kit really costs in Bristol
Licorice in Bristol reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested licorice in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.88 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On licorice the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.88 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
How long does licorice in a starter kit last?
In Bristol we measured 2 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
