Salted squonk mod Vape in Bristol: the review shortlist
Salted in Bristol: 9 units tested over 7 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Choosing a squonk mod for salted
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £3.52 per 10 ml.
We run salted the same way in Bristol: same squonk mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: salted in Bristol works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted squonk mod really costs in Bristol
Salted in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested salted in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Bristol.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where salted goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised £56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £3.52 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for salted in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
