A sour sub-ohm kit from the budget options in Bristol costs about £2.18 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The honest read on sour: 15 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: sour in Bristol works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour sub-ohm kit really costs in Bristol
Sour sub-ohm kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested sour in a sub-ohm kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Bristol.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sour goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
